Established in 2009, Oromia Insurance has emerged as one of the leading insurance providers, offering a comprehensive range of insurance solutions to meet the diverse needs of our customers. Number of shareholders


As of March 2024, the number of shareholders reached over 1,130 while the paid-up and the subscribed capital of the Company reached Birr 1billion and Birr 3 billion respectively. Moreover, the diversity of its shareholders, with more than 1.6 million low-income farmers being shareholders of the Company through their farmers’ cooperative unions, speaks for itself about the Company’s strong social base.


Currently, Oromia Insurance has 62 full-fledged branches and 2 contact offices throughout the country. It also works with a number of sales agents, all insurance brokers, and banks in the country.
